Application: Merripaper Cards (Android package com.binarydatatechnology.merripaper), distributed on Google Play.
Developer: Binary Data Technology
Privacy contact: binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com
Effective date: September 5, 2026 · Last updated: September 5, 2026
This policy applies only to the Merripaper Cards Android application identified above. It explains what the app accesses on your device, what it does with that information, and what it does not do.
Summary
- Merripaper Cards does not collect any user data. No personal or sensitive information is transmitted to Binary Data Technology or to any third party by the app.
- Merripaper Cards does not share any user data with third parties.
- The app has no internet permission. It cannot send your designs anywhere.
- There is no account, login, advertising, analytics, tracking or in-app purchase in this app.
- Everything you create stays in the app's private storage on your device, unless you deliberately export, share or back it up yourself.
Information the app handles on your device
You choose what to type and attach. Your cards may contain recipient and sender names, messages, personal photos, event titles, dates, times and locations. This content is created by you and stored only in the app's private storage area on your device.
The following data types are accessed on-device only, never collected and never shared:
- Photos. When you pick a photo through Android's file selection interface, the app makes its own normalized copy for your card. Your original file is never modified or deleted. The copy is stored privately on your device. Location and other camera metadata (EXIF) are not carried into the copy.
- Names, messages and event details. Text you type into a card. Event locations are text you write, not a measured device location.
- App settings. Your light/dark appearance choice.
The app does not request or receive your contacts, calendar, device location, microphone, camera, phone number, email account, device identifiers, advertising ID, or broad access to your photo library. The app declares no internet permission and no sensitive runtime permission.
Data collection and sharing
Binary Data Technology does not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent or share any user data from this app. Because the app has no network permission, no publisher backend, no analytics and no advertising software, there is no mechanism by which your card content could reach us or any third party through the app.
This app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
Files you choose to save, share or back up
You can create a PNG image or a PDF from a card. The preview shows the design and the information it contains before you create or share it. When you save or share a file, you choose the destination through Android. The receiving app or storage provider then handles that file under its own privacy practices, not ours. Choosing a cloud destination may send the file off your device.
A manual library backup is a file you create and place where you choose. It includes your cards, cards in Trash, and the photos those cards reference. Treat backups as private files. Merripaper backups are not password-encrypted by the app. Store and share them only where you trust. Backup imports are reviewed on screen before anything is added, and are added as new copies.
The app is configured to exclude its local data from Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup, and provides the manual backup feature instead. Device manufacturers and operating-system services may behave differently outside the app's control.
Retention and deletion
Because nothing is collected, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. All of your content lives on your device and remains under your control.
Drafts are kept locally until you remove them or clear the app's data. Cards moved to Trash can be restored. Choosing Empty Trash permanently removes those card records from the current library; files you already exported and backups you already made are not deleted.
Imported photo copies can remain in private storage after a photo is replaced or removed, including while they are still needed for undo or redo in the current editing session. After Empty Trash commits the updated library, the app removes private photo copies that are no longer referenced by any retained card or by undo/redo history.
To delete everything: uninstall the app, or use Android Settings → Apps → Merripaper Cards → Storage → Clear storage. Either removes the app's local library, Trash, settings and remaining private photo copies. Export a backup first if you want to keep your work. No request to us is required, because we hold nothing.
Temporary app-owned export files become eligible for cleanup after seven days, the next time you create an export. Files you saved elsewhere, shared with another application or placed in a backup remain in that destination until you delete them there.
Support messages
Contacting support is entirely optional and happens outside the app. If you choose Contact support, your own email app opens so you can write to Binary Data Technology. If you send that message, we receive the email address you send from and whatever content or attachments you choose to include. Please do not include private card content unless you intend to share it for support.
We use support messages only to answer your question and resolve the issue you report. Email is handled through our email provider. You can write to the same address to ask about your support correspondence or to request that we delete it.
Children
Merripaper Cards is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because the app collects no personal information at all.
Security
The app stores your work in Android's private application storage, validates the structure and size of any backup you import, and grants a receiving app temporary read access only to the specific file you choose to share. These measures cannot guarantee the security of your device or of other applications and providers. Protect your device, and review the contents of a file before you share it.
Your rights
Since the app collects no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or erase on your behalf. You control all of your content directly on your device, and you can remove it at any time using the steps under Retention and deletion above. For any privacy question, write to binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, Binary Data Technology will update this policy and the matching Google Play disclosures before or when the changed version is released, and will revise the "Last updated" date above.
